Welcome Riva!!

Riva Bruenn completed her first year in the PhD program in Plant Biology and decided to join our lab.  Riva rotated in the Specht Lab during the summer of 2012 and collaborated with visiting researcher Rich Jorgenson to investigate the evolution of conserved peptides (cp) upstream (u) of the canonical open reading frame (ORFs) of certain genes found across plants.  Now that she's finished her first year of classes and completed her other three rotations, Riva will likely continue some of her work on CPuORFS, but will focus her dissertation research on TCP genes and the evolution of gene regulatory networks.
